University Orientation School for 180 students of high merit who have completed their fourth year of high school. Lessons, meetings, workshops to encourage an informed choice of studies

It is time for the first contact with university education for 180 students who have completed their fourth year of upper secondary school. Lectures, seminars, round tables and didactic workshops to encourage an informed and focused choice of studies. The University Orientation School, promoted by the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, is back. For the 2023 edition, two orientation courses are scheduled: the first takes place from Tuesday 4 July to Friday 7 July at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa and involves 100 participants; the second is scheduled from Tuesday 11 July to Friday 14 July at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, with the other 80 selected.

The orientation activities are aimed at students of high merit, selected from over 600 applications. The courses, which are completely free of charge, have been jointly designed to provide participants with knowledge and tools for a mature and aware orientation. From the latest frontiers of scientific research to the impact of artificial intelligence and robotics on society; from the fight against climate change to the defence of civil rights. These are some of the topics at the centre of the meetings held by lecturers and researchers from the Scuola Normale and the Scuola Sant'Anna. The training activities include lectures, round tables, seminars and teaching workshops. In addition, participants have the opportunity to get to know together with the students of the two Schools an itinerary that illustrates collegiate life and the added value of such a special university experience.
